Question:
1.How many measurable metrics should a company put on their Supplier Report Card? Why?
NOTE: Measurable metrics, also commonly called parameters or sub-categories are often organized into categories represented as headers or groups in the scorecard.
2.Building on the categories shown in the text (Figures 8-4 & 8-6), provide at least 6 specific measurable metrics (parameters/sub-categories) that might be used on a scorecard. Describe which category these metrics relate to (Figure 8-6 categories include: quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, responsiveness, innovation, financial performance, etc.) and why this metric (parameter/sub-category) is important.
3.For each scorecard metric (parameter/sub-category) listed in the previous question you must be able to get data! Where would the data to measure each metric typically be found? How is the data created (in what process is it generated?) Note that this will be different for qualitative and quantitative parameters. Answer for each of the 6 metrics given as your answer to the previous question.
4.Supplier recognition programs are utilized to encourage excellent performance. There are many ways to reward your suppliers for outstanding achievement. Brainstorm at least five free or inexpensive ways and at one expensive way to recognize the contributions of your top performing suppliers.
