As you've learned from this week, from a continued discussion on layers and mapping styles, web layers are important because they are the building blocks of web apps. Web apps are important because they are the faces of Web GIS. Stories are one of the most popular types of web apps.

Project 2 will have you to use your own data, layers from ArcGIS Living Atlas, and/or other sources, choose from one of the following topics and create a hosted feature layer, configure its style using smart mapping, to use it in a story about one of the following topics:

• Your personal life or passion
• The spread of a virus
• A war or other historical event
• Spatial patterns of various social or natural factors
• The real estate for sale in your city, along with pictures and a chart of price histories
• Recent crime locations in your city
• Recent earthquakes around the world
• Other topics of your choice

Submission of Report with Weblink to Map/App

Submit a written report and link to your app within the written report. Your app submission should include the following:

• At least one feature layer that you created
• Configure the appropriate layer style using smart mapping (the style can't just show locations only).
• Configure the appropriate layer pop-up. Include one chart, one image with a link, and one Arcade expression.
• At least one web map that you created
• Five types of content: text, video, picture, map, and app
• At least one sidecar or one slideshow block, which includes at least three slides
• At least one swipe or map tour block

Prepare a written report submitted in Word document form via the Turnitin link within the corresponding Week by the due date. Typically, the word document is a minimum of 4-6 pages, depending on the project requirements, but this may vary based on the specific requirements for each project. The following are the requirements for the Word file:

• Cover Page (Title of your project with your name, course name, instructors name, due date, etc)
