Aim: The aim of this task is for students to practice calculating areas using the given

measurement points. A field exercise was conducted using a Total Station to determine six

coordinates. These coordinates are now available for plotting in AutoCAD to calculate the

area.

Note: The following table contains angle values in both units. Make sure you select your

preferred unit at the beginning of your drawing in AutoCAD.

Outcome of this task: Identify the polygon drawn as a closed area using the HATCH command

in AutoCAD. Check the properties of the hatch to determine the enclosed area.
