$2\mathrm{.}1$ Urban Mobility Inc., a mid$-$sized company specialising in sustainable transportation, decided to launch a new line of compact electric scooters aimed at urban commuters. The project's s$$ccess heavily depended on setting up an efficient, cost$-$effective, and scalable production line. Industrial engineering techniques are important in this instance to improve manufacturing capability. It entails a composite of activities responsible for the design and development of production capability. It is necessary to develop a capability that will enable the production and delivery of the quantities needed. Such system configuration would have been described and approved through the critical design review. Briefly discussed four types of engineering or engineering$-$related activities that are important in the design of production configuration of the compact electric scooters.
