A runway system is to service arrivals and departures. The common approach path

is $7$ miles long for all aircraft. During a particular interval of time the

runway is serving only two types of aircraft, a Type A with an approach speed of

$120$ miles per hour and a Type B with an approach speed of $90$ miles per hour.

The arrival and departure profile information for these aircraft is given in

Table $1.$ The air traffic separation rules in effect are given in Table $2.$

During the period of time to be analyzed an ordered arrival queue of a $B,A,A,$

$B,$ and A approach the runway. An identical ordered departure queue is awaiting

clearance to take$-$off.
