She unsuccessfully tried to get Matome to consult medical practitioners to get help. Matome doesnt acknowledge that he has a problem. According to him, he is experiencing an ancestral calling and is fulfilling his ancestors wishes by using drugs. In their neighbourhood there is a group that focuses mainly on lessons and activities aimed at teaching teenagers about the dangers of substance abuse. The members of this group have never been involved in substance abuse. The group merely serves as a preventative mechanism. Nonjabulo decides to approach the groups facilitator and asks him if Matome can enrol in the group. The facilitator agrees, and Nonjabulo manages to convince Matome to join the group. The next day Nonjabulo takes Matome to the group so that he can begin with the process of rehabilitation.
