Task $2$

Work out embodied carbon in the bricks

Work out the area of the voids using the typical sections drawing on

Minerva. They are all the same area so just multiply this by the number of

voids to get the total area.

Half the area of the voids will be filled with bricks so work out the total

surface area of bricks required

Work out volume of bricks assuming each brick is $100mm$ deep

Convert to mass $($kg$)$ using 'Conversions' tab on the ICE database provided

for you on Minerva
