(20 pts) 3. A cup-drawing operation is performed in which the punch diameter = 80 mm, the punch and die radii = 4 mm, the sheet thickness = 3 mm, and the blank diameter = 150 mm. The sheet metal has UTS = 400 MPa and yield strength = 180 MPa. Determine: (a) Maximum drawing force and blank-holding force; (b) The total press force required if the cup is made by progressive stamping using one press and one die assembly with Station 1 for blanking and Station 2 for drawing.
