3. As a result of negligent driving, Finn crashes into Abigail causing her to receive a fractured arm. On her way to the hospital the ambulance aquaplanes due to flash flooding, crashing into a tree, resulting in Abigail sustaining severe head injuries. Abigail is unconscious when she arrives at A&E, and whilst the ambulance crew are removing her from the ambulance two youths sprint past knocking Abigail off her trolley. This results in further injuries and permanent impairment of her vision. Six weeks later, following her discharge from Hospital, Abigail is out shopping and is knocked down while crossing a busy street, resulting in a broken leg and a further stay in hospital. It would appear that even though Abigail's vision was impaired, she chose not to wear the specially adapted glasses provided by her doctor as they are extremely uncomfortable on her nose. She was awaiting replacements for these glasses to be delivered. As a result of her injuries Abigail suffers from depression and anxiety and just under two years following the accident she kills herself. Advise Finn as to his potential liabilities for Abigail's injuries and subsequent suicide. 3. As a result of negligent driving, Finn crashes into Abigail causing her to receive a fractured arm.
