46-year old Mark Anthony Jones, an unlicensed gun owner, accidently shot himself in the penis. He was taking a morning walk when he reached down to adjust the unholstered gun in his waistband; it then shot a bullet that entered just above his penis and exited his scrotum. This is very unfortunate for the man in question but I personally found it quite hilarious. Naturally it brings up the point that people are much more likely to accidentally hurt someone or themselves with a gun than to actually protect themselves from danger. Outside of the obvious reasons to ban guns, such as the deadly shootings occurring on pretty much a daily basis, we also need it to stop dumb people from accidently shooting themselves.
