You are the CEO of a Machine

Learning company who has been

approached to analyse the online

habits of Canadian citizens in order

to develop a model that assigns

citizen points to activities (ex.

Picking up litter is +2, littering is -2

points). The government intends to

only use it for beneficial purposes

(or so you are told). It also would

be of great interest to foriegn

governments as they would be able

to dissect how Canadians behave

and use that knowledge to

potentially sway outcomes of

elections, etc. This project would

shore up the financial health of the

firm for the next decade. Write a

short piece (about 500-750 words)

describing the ethical framework

you have installed at your company

to help you decide if this passes

your internal ethics test.
