The scope of your responsibility is reserving the sports venues, acquitting the athlete accommodation, setting up the volunteer organization, arranging for Security, and getting the publicity out. This project is also a fixed deadline project meaning that work must be completed by the date of the competition. For the project charter, use the format presented on page 57 through 60 of the textbook. Project charters should be highlevel but descriptive enough to provide guidance in the project planning phase. The WBS should follow the exampls in Figure 9.3 and 9.5 of the textbook. Use your immagination to fill in details for the project such as budget.

3.1.2 Write a project charter and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the following project: You have been asked to plan the relocation of a business office from one building to a new building ten blocks away. The office consists of 20 workers in cubicles and four managers in offices. The scope of your responsibilities is coordinating the moving company, communication with employees, providing direction to employees on their responsibilities and coordinating common office equipment. This project is to be completed as soon as possible in order to reduce the dupplication of rented space. For the project charter, use the format presented on page 57 through 60 of the textbook. Project charters should be highlevel but descriptive enough to provide guidance in the project planning phase. The WBS should follow the exampls in Figure 9.3 and 9.5 of the textbook. Use your immagination to fill in details for the project such as budget.

3.1.3 Input the WBS's from the above projects into two separate Microsoft Project files. Each project should have a minimum of 20 tasks with durations, start dates and finish dates. Submit screen shots of the MS Project Gantt chart in a SINGLE MS Word document, and submit the two .mpp files from Microsoft Project.
