3.2 Measures of Process Performance Description: Each step in the provision of health services can be measured to determine if performance is acceptable. In this project you'll identify measures of performance for steps in the hospital process. Instructions: Review the steps in the process of admitting a patient to the hospital for an elective procedure (shown in figure 3.1) The hospital admission process involves six distinct steps, five of which are under the control of the hospital admission office. Satisfactory completion of step 2 through 6 is important to the quality of patient care and patient satisfaction. For each step, identify one process, outcome, or patient expectation measure that could be used by the manager of the hospital admissions office to evaluate how well employees are completing the step.
