$4\mathrm{.}1$D$.$ EPTC Vaporization from a Flooded Field

EPTC vaporization from a flooded field was measured by Claith et al$.{?}^{38}$ By a

process known as herbigation it was applied at an average concentration of $2\mathrm{.}2$

ppm in the inlet water. The concentration in the exit water and wind speed

was measured with time, as was the EPTC vaporization rate using the

aerodynamic method $($see Section $6\mathrm{.}2).$ Table $4\mathrm{.}1$D contains the data. EPTC is

S$-$ethyl $N,N-$dipropylthiocarbamate, with a molecular weight of $189\mathrm{.}3,$ and

$H_{}=7\mathrm{.}29E-3c{m}^3{H}_2\frac{O}{c}{m}^3$ air at $30C.$

Using the desorption model, calculate the vaporization flux in $\frac{g}{h}a*h$ at

each time.

Compare the calculated and measured fluxes in time on a graphical plot.

Calculate the grams vaporized by each method over the $8-$h period.
