5.0 Research Methods Research Methods used for assessing the Impact of Tourism on Local Communities will be the Quantitative and Qualitative approaches. 5.1 Quantitative Approach a. Sampling Plan: The quantitative stage will need to carry out a structured survey of local communities having established local facilities in the Maldivian islands. For the survey, adults of 18 and older will be included. Random sampling from different backgrounds to represent diverse demographics and regions. A sample of 400 persons is expected to achieve 95% confidence with a 5% margin of error. Local council authorities and community establishments will help to gain the participants.
