7. The study was set for the first two weeks of the semester so that students would be less familiar with the rules regarding how children should behave at school. To look at the cumulative effect of watching aggressive, neutral, or no role models, the kids were tested two times over the course of the first two weeks of the semester. The observer-aggressiveness and self-aggressiveness ratings confirmed the hypotheses during the first session, with children in the aggressive model condition displaying and feeling much more aggressive than children in the neutral model and control condition. Although the kids did not seem to connect the first session with the second session, the researchers did find that the aggressiveness ratings of kids in the aggressive model condition decreased dramatically between time one and time two.
