7001 COMPUTING FOR PRACTICAL STATISTICS IN-COURSE ASSESSMENT 1 (2014/15 SESSION) Rules on group work: Please work on this ICA in the group you have been assigned to by randomisation. You are not allowed to change groups (except in the presence of suitable extenuating circumstances). You are not allowed to exchange information, especially solutions, about the ICA with anybody outside your group except the course teaching sta. Doing so may constitute collusion or plagiarism. All members of a group get the same mark. Please be always respectful towards your group partners, whoever they are. In particular, please be aware that your collaboration on the project is of professional nature, so please be careful to respect personal boundaries. If there is any problem that hinders or prevents collaboration within your group, please inform teaching sta as soon as possible. General rules applicable to this ICA: Your solutions should be your group's work and are to be handed by a group member in accordance with all group members. Your group's work should be submitted digitally, including the full, wellcommented code as an appendix, on moodle-TurnitIn - both before the deadline. The submitted solution must be anonymous, please take care to remove any indication that would disclose the authors' identities from your submission. Note that this includes comments or le names referenced in the code. When submitting digitally via TurnitIn, make sure you do so early on (as opposed to 5 min before the deadline). You can update your submission later. Late submission will incur a penalty unless there are extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical) supported by appropriate documentation. Penalties are set out in the latest editions of the Statistical Science Department student handbooks, available from the departmental web pages. If you submit your work late, please make sure to send message to both Russell (Evans) and Karen (Leport) before the deadline that states clearly in the name of the whole group that you will be late. Otherwise the last submission to TurnitIn before the deadline will count; if there is none such, then this will count as no submission. This can be superseded by extenuating circumstances.
