The Global Terrorism Database $($GTD$)$ contains a repository of terrorist events that have taken place across the world. It is developed and maintained by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland. The variables in the dataset are:

gtd$\_$Id: Used to indicate the ID # of an incident.

year: This field contains the year in which the incident occurred. In the case of incident$($s$)$ occurring over an extended period, the field records the year when the incident was initiated.

month: This field contains the number of the month in which the incident occurred. In the case of incident$($s$)$ occurring over an extended period, the field records the month when the incident was initiated.

extended: Variable with two levels.

"Yes" The duration of an incident extended more than $24$ hours.

$"$No$"$ The duration of an incident extended less than $24$ hours.
