Check the adequacy of the tensile strength the member under LRFD Load Case $2.$ Assume that the gusset plate and bolts are satisfactory. For that:

a$.$ Calculate $A_g,A_n,$ and $A_e,$ and then the Design rupture and yield strengths.

b$.$ Calculate the Design block shear strength.

c$.$ Check if the minimum of these strengths is larger than the tension load from Load Case $2($i$.$e$.$ check that $R_n>P_u)$
