A 45 kVA three phase transformer (2.2 kV : 4.6 kV) is to be constructed from three single phase transformers. The transformers are connected as Y-Delta. The transformer per phase impedance on the LV side is (2.1+j23.6) mOHMS
(i) Calculate the effective turns ratio of the Y-Delta connected transformer. Show your working clearly.
(ii) Determine the impedance of the transformer referred to its HV side
(iii) Calculate the rated current on the LV and HV sides of the transformer and hence determine the power loss through the transformer when connected to a rated load.
