$($a$)$ A composite produced from a continuous aligned fiber with polymer matrix has a cross$-$sectional area of $320m{m}^2$ and is subjected to a longitudinal load of $44,500N.$ The composite consists of $30$vol$\%$ aramid fibres and $70$vol$\%$ of a polycarbonate matrix. The mechanical properties of the fibre and polymer matrix are listed in Table Q$2($a$).$
