b. Sithum Computer Manufacturing Company (SCMC) needs to meet the demand of its largest corporate and educational customers for laptops over the next three quarters. The SCMC currently has 45 laptops in inventory. Expected demand over the next three quarters for its laptops is 600, 750 and 1020 respectively. The SCMC has sufficient capacity and material to produce on regular basis up to 800 laptops in each quarter at a cost of Rs.75000 per laptop. By using overtime, up to an additional 300 laptops can be produced at a cost of Rs.95000 each. The SCMC wishes to have at least 80 laptops in stock at the end of three quarters.

The inventory cost for laptops is Rs.1050 per unit per quarter. How should SCMC meet its demand for laptops at minimum cost? Formulate a linear programming model for this problem.
