A case-control study was conducted to investigate the relationship between diagnosis of ADHD and mental illness during adolescence. Sixty-three male adolescents were recently diagnosed with mental illness and 158 controls were enrolled in the study. A diagnosis of ADHD was identified in 9 controls and in 14 cases".
