A company sells two poster sizes, small and large. The profit earned for each of these posters
Question:
A company sells two poster sizes, small and large. The profit earned for each of these posters is R3.00 for large posters and R2.00 for small posters. The weekly operating constraints for selling these posters is, a maximum of three large posters can be sold, a maximum of five small poster can be sold, a maximum of 10 hours can be used for producing posters. It takes two hours to produce one large poster and one hour to produce one small poster.
Let:
X1 = number of large posters
X2 = number of small posters
a). Formulate the above scenario into a LP solution by maximizing the profit producing posters.
b) Graphically show the approximate values for the optimal solution for integer and rounding solution of this LP problem.
c) Calculate the optimal solution for this problem
d) Show the rounding off solution for this problem.
e) Give the optimal integer solution for this problem
