A composting facility you operate received 3.4 tons of biodegradable waste. After taking 1 kilogram sample from the waste by quartering method, it was brought to the laboratory and analyzed for water content, organic matter content, dissolved organic carbon and dissolved nitrogen. First, 132 grams of wet sample was dried at 95\deg C overnight. Then the sample was weighed and reported as 65 grams. Then 50 grams of dry sample was incinerated at 550\deg C and the remaining ash was weighed as 8.5 grams. The dissolved carbon concentration of the waste was 153000 mg/kg (dry matter) and the dissolved nitrogen concentration was 11350 mg/kg (dry matter). Automatic mixing of compost piles can be provided in the facility, water spray irrigation can be realized, grass with C/N=12 and 30% dry matter and conifer wood chips with C/N=75 and 90% dry matter can be supplied in sufficient quantity as auxiliary materials.
Determine whether the waste is suitable for composting in terms of Water Content, Organic Matter and C/N. If not, calculate the operations that can be carried out and the amount(s) of material to be added.
(Please do the solution legibly on paper. In some of my questions, instead of doing the solution, experts share some formulas and guide me. This is very good for me to understand the subject myself. But for this particular question, please do all the solution and calculations in detail. I am grateful in advance, good work).
