A credit report is a statement that has information about your credit activity and current credit situation such as loan paying history and the status of your credit accounts (source). By law, you can get a free credit report each year from the three credit reporting agencies (CRAs). These agencies include Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion (source). In this assignment, you will request your own credit report and evaluate it for accuracy and errors. Although all of the reports will have similar information, | recommend only choosing one agency for this activity which will leave you with the ability to get 2 additional free credit reports this year from other agencies if you need them in real life. Step 3: Read these instructions to request your annual credit report. If you request a report online, you should have instant access to the report.
