A customer can register to the Online Retail Application to purchase an item. The customer will provide bank account number and bank name (customer can have multiple account number). After registration, each customer will have a unique customerid, and password. Customer can purchase one or more items with different quantities. The items categorized to different classes based upon their prices. After purchasing items by the customer, a bill will be generated including the quantity, price of the item and discount (if any) on the purchased items. A bank account is required to settle the bill. One or more suppliers can ship the same item.
As a database developer, you are required to develop a database management system that fulfills Online Retail Application requirements, your system should provide the following functionalities:
Customer orders:
Customer Registration:
If a customer wants to be a member, the person should be able to register with some details such as name, email, phone number, account number, bank name etc.
Customer Purchase:
Customer purchase the item, pay for item, quantity of item is bought.
Inventory updates: items sold, replenished, out of stock, sales.
Place an Order
Company makes orders according to the less stocks and place them to a supplier.
Purchase Products
If supplier accepts the order, purchase the products then company add new item to system
Sales
After the products is ordered, sales can be done.
Your system should provide the following summaries:
Details of customer member.
Details of customer with their orders.
Details list of items that are retailed with their supplier.
Details of orders in a specific period of time.
