A diode is an important electronic device used for rectification and wave shaping. Answer the following diode questions.

a$.$ Draw the ANSI symbol showing the anode $(+)$ and cathode $(-).$

b$.$ For a diode with $I_S={10}^{-14},n=1\mathrm{.}2,V_T=26mV,v_D=0\mathrm{.}65V,$ solve for the diode current using the Shockley equation.

c$.$ For the diode current condition in $b,$ solve for the dynamic resistance, $r_d.$

d$.$ For the circuit below, solve for I and V$.$ Suggest redrawing the circuit. Put the $1$ K resistor which is to the right in the middle and move the diode and it's $1$ K resistor to the right. Then reverse the order of the series $1$ K and the diode putting the resistor first. This will then look like a simple node voltage problem. Remember to change out the diode to $0\mathrm{.}7$ V $.$
