A$.$ Group Project Title and Data Plan $(20\%)$

$$ The abstract should clearly state the project$$s goal and objective and action plan to achieve the goal.

$$ Find a dataset that will serve as the basis for VDM project work $($data visualization for decision making, narrated storytelling, Interactive Data Story$/$data visualization, animated data viz, etc.$).$ This dataset should be related to any domain of business$/$management decision in a firm. Avoid using IPL$/$cricket$/$solved Kaggle project or similar project.

$$ This dataset can be located on an open data portal or can be a dataset that you have access to through your work.

$$ The dataset can be on any topic you choose $$ideally$,$ pick one that$$s about something you$$re interested in and$/$or is about where you live. This will make it a lot more interesting to complete the project assignments in this VDM course.

$$ Cite the source of the dataset.

$$ The Data Plan should be submitted through MS Team$(.$doc or $.$docx$).$

Write a brief $($maximum of $600$ words$)$ maximum of up to two pages report on the data plan that answers the following questions and your plan to achieve the goal:

$1.$ Explain the goal and objectives of the project.

$2.$ Explain the meta$-$data of the dataset that provides information about the specific target sector.

a$.$ For example, sales data of an FMCG company, and employee details of a manufacturing company. $($these examples are for illustration purposes only$).$

b$.$ Further, submit the data $($in xlsx or csv format$)$ or provide a link to download the dataset.

$3.$ Describe the attributes of the dataset which is going to be used in the project? For example, what kind of data does it contain?

$4.$ Is there anything about your data that you do not understand? How will you find this out?

$5.$ What are the questions which you hope to get an answer from the dataset? List at least three questions $($you don$$t need the answers to the questions at this point$).$

$6.$ State the assumptions or limitations$,$ if any.

NB: While writing the first part $($i$.$e$.,$ data plan$)$ of the project, course students should keep$-$in$-$mind about the rest of the part of the projects.

NB: If any two or more groups submitted the same data plan then the first submission will be considered and the rest will be discarded.
