A hospital decided to update its physical security. The hospital has three surgery centers, an outpatient area, long-term patients, ICU, pharmacy, two laboratories, two physical rehabilitation centers, the finance department, logistics, three restaurants, two coffee bars, a patient administration and registration area, five patient resting areas, a store, a nursing area, and an emergency center, with critical patients coming.

Recently the university acquired two robotic surgery systems, which will be placed in two of the surgery centers. The hospital has a fence and an entry gate, with a general public parking lot, and the staff parking and medical parking.

All the hospital is networked. Draw using a PPT the hospital, define in each area the proper physical security, integrate it with the IT network, provide the proper procedures. Look for one commercial software or hardware for each one of the cases selected.

The project can be done in groups, you have to do research and discover the most appropriate security (and safety) solutions, software and hardware, for each area, and how they would work together. Consider creating a general center for Security Control, with master control of everything and also the individual locations.

The drawing or the physical plant is necessary as part of the work. The delivery document should be a PPT with the hospital design and suporting documents.
