Course Learning Outcomes
Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship aims to prepare students to take up the challenges at the time when they graduate by building self-reliant skills as innovation pioneers of University of Sharjah and leaders in UAE national innovation and Entrepreneurial field. The course has the following specific objectives:
- To equip students with the necessary capabilities to be able to utilize innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership into their personal and career development
- To use creative thinking tools to encourage entrepreneurial activity and innovative input into the UAE
By the end of successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- 1) Identify and differentiate between the concepts of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, growth and Leadership (CLO 1)
- Utilize design thinking concepts and tools to reflect on the course material learned in the classroom into their personal development and future professional career (CLO 2) Use various tools and techniques in problem solving, creative thinking and idea generation techniques (CLO 3)
- Develop vision, mission and strategy statements and business model canvas (CLO 4)
- Analyze business case studies and reflect on various entrepreneurial experiences in the forms of group and individual work (CLO 5)
