A pebble is dropped from a cliff with a height of 80m. After t seconds, it is a metres above the ground, where s(t)=80-5t^2, 0<= t<=4.

Find the average velocity of the pebble between the times t =1 second and t =3 seconds.

I don't understand how to find the velocity, is just put t into the equation, or do I need differential the equation first.
