A recent study done by the PEW Research center asked democrats and republicans how often they checked for updates on the 2020 election.Researchers wished to know if republicans and democrats are different when it comes to how often they check for election results. Of the 4802 republicans surveyed, 1489 of them reported "constantly" checking for updates. Of the 6,740 democrats surveyed, 2831 reported "constantly" checking for updates. Let p1 be the proportion of republicans who reported that they were "constantly" checking for updates and let p2 be the same proportion for democrats.
