Question:
a. Research a lottery game that is offered in your state (or a state of your choice) and provides a count of the number of different tickets that could be purchased. That is, if a person wanted to purchase one of every possible selection of numbers, how many different tickets are possible for that particular lottery game> Identify the counting technique(s) that you used in order to determine your answer.
b. Using your answer from part a calculate probabilities related to winning the jackpot for the game or various lesser prizes.
c. Most lottery games publish "odds" of winning various prizes. Determine whether the stated odd are correctly calculated or whether they are really the probability of winning, but incorrectly labeled. (For example, if there are 1,000,000 different ticket combinations, then the probability of winning when purchasing 1 ticket would be 1/1,000,000 and the odds should be 1,999,9999 and NOT 1:1,000,000.
