a response to I will be talking about the cosmology of Stoicism and how it addresses the human problem. Stoicism is an ancient philosophy founded in Greece by Zeno of Citium. The Stoics believed in a universal or divine will/consciousness also referred to as the Logos. In Stoicism, the goal was to live in accord with nature. This is done by living virtuously and distinguishing what is in our control from what isn't. What is in our control is our thoughts, actions, and judgments. To answer the human problem, the Stoics believed; humans are considered rational beings made to assist one another. This is a simplification of the philosophy of Stoicism and how it relates to the human problem. We can also look at philosophers like Marcus Aurelius, who himself would most likely have considered himself a philosopher and not necessarily a Stoic, but was never the less a very Stoic philosopher and his journal(s) which survives as The Meditations, is considered to be one of the greatest works of Stoic philosophy. He consistently reminds himself of the interconnectedness of the universe and his role in it, which is to help others and live virtuously. We also see the same themes reflected in both Seneca and Epictetus, two other influential Stoics who lived before Marcus and who's work influenced him
