Question: a . Sam has recently moved to a rural area in a very foreign country. This country does not use the Metric System of Measurement

a.Sam has recently moved to a rural area in a very foreign country. This country does not use the Metric System of Measurement and does not use the Imperial System of Measurement. The national system of measurement is the Furlong-Firkin-Fortnight System (FFF-System) and for traditional reasons the locals often use other units that Sam is unfamiliar with. Over the next few days the locals told him that one Furlong (fur) was 201.168 meters, one Firkin (fir) was 40.8233 kg, and one Fortnight (ftn) was 14 days. Sam's family called asking how life was in the new country, but as he began to explain his daily drive to work his family stopped him due to confusion. They asked him, What is a microfurlong in terms of kilometers? How long is a nanofornight in terms of hours? How fast is 40 microfurlongs per nanofornight in kilometers per hour?1 Microfurlong =  km 1  Nanofortnight =  hours 1 Microfurlong per Nanofortnight = km/h

b.Sam goes to an outdoor market to buy something, but everything is sold in dollars per milifirkin. He tries to buy some fruit, but wants to know how much he has to pay in units he can understand better such as dollars/kg. The shop owner he was talking to smiled and decided to play a trick on Sam by saying, I dont understand kilograms. With only a calculator and a sign that said, 0.1 Dollars per Milifirkin, Sam was forced to do unit conversions. He had to figure out how many kilograms are in a milifirkin, what the price is in dollars per kilogram, and what he has to pay for 2.25 kilograms of fruit.

Kilograms per Milifirkin =  kg/mfir

Dollars per Kilogram =  dollars/kg

Price =  dollars

Sam's sister had been counting down the months and days to her next birthday, which happened to be 6 months (where 1 month is approximately 30 days) and 16 days. As a joke she asked Sam how long it was until her birthday in nanofortnights. Sam didnt realize it was a joke and put down the phone to begin calculating an answer for her. He first began by calculating how many nanofortnights were in a day, how many nanofortnights were in a month, and finally how many nanofortnights it was to his sisters birthday.

Nanofortnights per Day =  nftn/day

Nanofortnights per Month = nftn/month

Nanofortnights Until Her Birthday = nftn
