A sample of $1,000$ consumers over the age of $18$ were asked about their interest in buying a new vehicle in the coming year. $180$ responded that they definitely or probably would buy a vehicle. These same consumers were subsequently asked about their purchase intent if they received a $20\%$ discount on the vehicle price for agreeing to display ads for consumer products on the door panels of the vehicle.
