A school district needs a database system to help track children in the district. Data needs to be kept on each school and the children that will be attending each school and their parents. Also, data needs to be kept on the teachers in each school. Draw the Crow's Foot model described below. See Figure 4.26, as a basic example for how to an ERD. Parent: Parent ID number, Parent last name, Parent first name, Home phone number, and Home Address (Street, City, State, and ZIP Code). The following relationships must be defined: School is related to Student. School is related to Teacher. Student is related to Parent. Connectivities and participations are defined as follows: A School may or may not have a Student. A Student must have a School. A School may have many Students. A Student has only one School. A School may or may not have a Teacher. A Teacher must have a School. A School may have many Teachers. A Teacher has only one School. A Student must have a Parent. A Parent must have a Student. A Student may have many Parents. A Parent may have many Students.
