Use SPSS to get a table which gives the frequency distribution of the respondents according to gender. Comment on the frequency distribution.
Use SPSS to obtain the summary statistics Standard deviation, Variance, Minimum, Maximum, Kurtosis, Skewness for height. Comment on the skewness coefficient.
Use SPSS to draw a histogram for the heights of the respondents.
Use SPSS to draw a Box plot for the heights of the respondents. Comment on the distribution of the heights.
Using the Transform Recodeintodif ferentvariables menu, create a new variable "Matdif" with label "Mathematics is a difficult subject" and three categories "Agree", "Neutral" and "Disagree". The "Agree" category should be a result of combining "Strongly agree" and "Agree" while "Disagree" will be a combination of "Strongly Disagree" and "Disagree". Do not forget to update the "Value" for the new variable in the variable view.
You are supposed to draw two histograms for comparing the heights of male and female respondents. Use Splitfile Comparegroups to set your data so that you can compare males and females. Use the graph menu to draw the required histograms. Comment on how the two histograms compare.
Use the "Split File" menue to restore the settings to "Analyze all Cases".
You can use the "Select Cases" Menu to restrict your analysis to Males only ie the results of any subsequent analysis will be for males only. Use this menu to find the distribution of car model preference among males.

n Create a well labeled bar graph to depict the distribution of the car prefences of the respondents. Label the axis, and give a title to the bar graph. Comment on the bar graph.
