A three$-$phase round$-$rotor synchronous generator, rated $16$ kV and $170$ MVA, has negligible internal losses and synchronous reactance of $1\mathrm{.}4$ per unit. It is operated on an infinite bus having a voltage of $16$ kV$.$ The internal emf, EiEi and the power angle, of the machine are found to be $25$ kV $($line$-$to$-$line$)$ and $26\mathrm{.}6$ respectively.
