Assume nominal cover to steel reinforcement =25mm;
Out-of-plane thickness of the deep beam and supporting columns is 300mm.Calculate forces in struts and tie(s) of the proposed strut and tie model proposed
in Q3(a) above. A linear elastic analysis for the continuous deep beam shown in
