A widely used computer software called socat had a number hard coded as a modulus to be used in a Diffie-Hellman key exchange, which was supposed to be prime. In 2016, it was found out that the number was not prime and there was a suspicion that it was planted as backdoor. Research the situation a bit and write a short report (less than 1 page) explaining how the number was found not to be prime and what were the security implications of this.
