ABC social networking website stores user information without explicitly informing the users. They take a blanket (general) consent of the users at the time of setting up the account that the organization has the right to use data for greater benefit. According to ABC, the data collected is used to enhance the user experience on the webpage based on users preferences. However, seeing the commercial value of the data collected, the company sells the user data to other commercial companies. The companys argument is that this also falls under the enhancement of customers' online experience (as ABC alone cannot fulfil all needs of the customers).
