That is why the second person voice is incorrect. Change the voice to the third person or use passive voice to avoid the awkward statements. CULTURAL DIVERSITY The most significant cultural differences a manager of an U.S.-based company would face when dealing with business executives from another country would be language. Some of the steps you could take to improve your communication with those whose culture differs from your own might be to do research on the culture with which you are going to deal. You should read up on their customs and what types of activities are typical within their business setting. You should also take a class that familiarizes you with the basics of the language. This way, you would be better prepared in your new surroundings and impress your own company that you know about a different culture. This plan of action could increase your chances for job advancement. BEHAVING ETHICALLY Ethical behavior involves adhering to beliefs concerning what is right or wrong as well as value judgments about what is good or bad. Within the business setting, ethical behavior is demonstrated by decisions and activities that follow principles of honesty and integrity of character.
