"Establish a Domestic Tour Operating Company A group of 8-10 students are expected to understand the general decision-making process in management accounting. The students are required to establish a domestic tour operating company of their own choice. The group will complete this project in four sections. The sections will start from establishment of company to the budgeted balance sheet. Budgets generally cover a one- year period corresponding to a company's fiscal year. Many companies divide their annual budget into four quarters. The students are supposed to take the one-year budgetary period i.e. 2020-21. The four sections are consisting of following requirements: Budgetary period: One year 2020-21 (four quarters) Section-I The first section is required to complete the following steps: Establishment of the tour operating company. Required initial investment. Required assets Initial balance sheet Section-I The second section is consisting of below steps: Calculate the breakeven of the tour operating company Section- III The third section is consisting of below steps: Budgeting of tour operating company Sales Budget of the company Operational Budget of the company Section- IV The fourth section is consisting of below steps: Budgeted income statement of the company Budgeted balance sheet of the company General Instructions of the Project Report submission The project report from Section-I to IV must be submitted on Deadline i.e. August 20, 2020 Marking Criteria: Total marks for the project are 15. The marks will be given on the bases of following skills: Organization of report Academic writing (grammar, sentence structure and flow of report) Concepts/arguments building Allocation/calculations of the budget Q & A during the Zoom session Report Structure Title Page showing the name of the Established Tour Operating company Service description of the company Name and IDs of group members Typed; Times New Roman 12, spacing 1.5, justify, insert page numbers and header/footer. Soft copy Upload on VLE Rules and regulations Late submission will not be entertained. Each group will be evaluated on individual as well as on group basis. Any group member who shirks his or her responsibility will not be awarded any marks for the project. Plagiarism should not be more than 15% Groups working on the same company with identical reports will be penalized.
