Accounts receivable - A statistical sample was selected and positive confirmations were sent to the selected accounts. Comment EJ1 - I've only gotten back about half of the confirmations so far, but all of those agreed to the balance in MSC's records so I've filed them and tied them in. Jane said that since the rest of the confirmations are coming from smaller museums with very few staff, it's unlikely they will be returned before the audit is over. I don't really know what to do now.

Question: Under what section of ASPE in the CPA handbook should i look into? Should the AR that is not confirmed be written off or what is the correct accounting procedure?
