Activity 2: Qualitative Description of Electric Potentials from a Point Charge Pick up a positive charge and place it in the middle of the screen. In the menu in the upper right corner, check the box that says "Voltage". The brighter the red, the more positive the electric potential. Negative electric potential is represented by blue, and the brighter the blue, the more negative the electric potential is. Drag the positive charge around the map and describe what happens to the colors. Click on the reset button in the bottom right corner to clear the map and repeat this activity for a negative charge.
