12 'Experimental The lab panel to the lett shows several beakers and a test tube mixer (the hexagonal black object with the soft rubber center). The Supplies cabinet provides a source of test tubes (TT), and a source of disposable pipettes (DP). The three beakers on the left of the top row contain several aqueous salutions of compounds you will test to determine their properties (are they carbohydrates, are they sugars, if sugars, what type, and so forth). One beaker contains a solution of the unknown compound which you will identify by performing the tests. The beakers on the bottom row and one on the right of the top row contain test reagents which might react with the solutions being tested to help you identity the type of compound present. The word \"reagent\" will distinguish test reagents from the known or unknown solutions being tested. You will use the disposable pipettes (DP) to remove a small amount of each of these known or unknown solutions to be identified and transfer some into a test tube. Then another DP will be used to add some test reagent solution to the test tube, and the mixer will be used to swirl the contents to allow the test reaction to occur
