AE$2$ is an individual design assessment. Using the theory from the teaching and learning activities and supported by the tutorial material, you will develop a design based on a realistic brief for a floating structure to support a renewable energy device. You will assess the static and dynamic stability of the structure from first principles for a variety of loading conditions to prove that the design will comply with the technical requirements of the brief. You will present your work as a portfolio of five A$2$ posters showing drawings, results of calculations, statements explaining critical design decisions and presenting your analysis to show compliance against the brief.
