After reading both chapters 1 and 2, I found it interesting how people interact at a workplace and how some people just click and other bump heads. What stood out to me was realizing how much our behavior at work is influenced not just by our job, but our personality, values, and experiences. It reminded me of past jobs where a managers attitude really set the tone for the day and team. The impact was in a good way or a stressful way. I didn't realize how much organizational behavior ties for actual success within that company. When reading about job satisfaction, motivation, and how important communication is and how all of those matter. A motivated, respected employee clearly performs better than some one who just shows up for a paycheck. Something I did agree about was the idea of emotion intelligence is so important in leadership. I have worked under managers who were smart and knew the ins and outs of the company, but just couldn't connect with people, and it caused tension and burnout. On the flip side, I did have some bosses I've worked with that were professional, good listeners, approachable, and made it know that my role mattered. If managers really took this information to heart, they can create work environments that bring out the best in people instead of draining them. Understanding your employees individual needs and what motivates them, and building that trust can lead to less turnover and more productivity. The biggest takeaway from me ? Organizational Behavior isn't just theory, it's real life stuff that can make or break a team. DO YOU AGREE WHY OR WHY NOT?
